Saint Meinrad's grounds offer relaxing
and peaceful surroundings.
Saint Meinrad Archabbey and its
Seminary and School of
Theology are situated high on a hill overlooking the town of
St. Meinrad amid the rolling rural farmland and forests of southern
Indiana.
The vast and well-kept campus includes several lakes, hiking
trails, outdoor shrines, recreational facilities and beautiful
vistas. Most of the Archabbey and school buildings are constructed
of sandstone, which was quarried locally, and are Romanesque in
style.
Its massive buildings reflect the long tradition of the
Archabbey while housing contemporary facilities. Art & Architecture
