Fr. Paul Kwiatkowski
The Reverend Paul Martin Kwiatkowski, 77, a Catholic priest of the Diocese of
Toledo, died at his residence in Toledo on Saturday, December 3, 2016, after an extended illness.
He was born October 7, 1939, the son of Ted and Evelyn (Kosmatka) Kwiatkowski. He attended Saint Stanislaus and Rosary Cathedral Schools, and was a proud 1957 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He completed his seminary studies at Saint Meinrad Seminary, Indiana, and the Pontifical North American College, Rome.
Father Kwiatkowski was ordained a priest at St. Peter's Basilica, Rome, on December 16, 1964. Over the course of his 52 years as a priest, his pastoral assignments included serving at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Toledo, Saint Joseph Parish, Maumee, Holy Spirit Seminary, Toledo, Saint Mary Parish, Bluffton, Saint Hedwig Parish, Toledo, Saint James Parish, Toledo, and Immaculate Conception Parish, Toledo.
Father Kwiatkowski received senior status as a priest in 2009. Even
during retirement he remained active as a priest, including teaching Latin at Central Catholic High School for a number of years.
He was a gifted musician and played violin in the Perrysburg Symphony for 45 years.
