Marvin P. Kiesel, age 87, of Haubstadt, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016, at his home.
Marvin was born on December 27, 1928, in Gibson County, Ind., to the late Clemens and Nettie (Obert) Kiesel. He was a member of St. Wendel Catholic Church and the Knights of St. John at St. Wendel. He had worked in housekeeping for Deaconess Hospital before retiring in 1999.
Surviving Marvin are his wife of 66 years, Dolores (Helfrich) Kiesel, of Evansville; two daughters, Donna (Ronnie) Rust, of Darmstadt, Ind., and Jane (Mike) Wagner, of Evansville; two sons, Rick (Monica) Kiesel, of Evansville, and Gerry Kiesel of St. Wendel; three sisters, Marilyn (Bob) Sokeland, of Ft. Branch, Ind., and Doris (Steve) Martin and Aliene (Vernie) Elpers, both of Haubstadt; a brother-in-law, Harry Elpers; eight grandchildren, Greg Kiesel, Mark Kiesel, Cheryl Orange, Jeremy Kiesel, Holly Kiesel, Kelly Trinh, Tyler Rust and Austin Hoefling; three stepgrandchildren, Drew Widner, Matt Widner and Shawn Rust; twelve great-grandchildren; and thirteen stepgreat-grandchildren. Also surviving is a special sister-in-law, Doris Peach.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by two sisters, Eloise Ziliak and Rosie Elpers; and a brother-in-law, Anthony Ziliak.
