Bernard McShea

Bernard "Bernie" Leo McShea, 89. He was born February 13, 1919 in Indianapolis to the late John and Anna (Feider) McShea. Bernie grew up during the Great Depression and during his youth began his love affair with music that he enjoyed his entire life. Bernie was an accomplished violinist and often could be found playing on the weekends with his band. Bernie owned and operated Indy Grinding Wheel Service and Supply Co. Before starting his own abrasive company, he spent time as a salesman, Texaco station owner, and the owner of a South Side bar. Bernie will most be remembered for his compassion and love for his family and friends. Bernie would always put the needs of others before his own. Bernie was the fourth of five children and was preceded in death by all his siblings and a granddaughter Christina Rene Cayon. Bernie is survived by his wife Janice (Reynolds) McShea and by his six children: His five daughters Jane Tubman, Debbie (Steve) King, Sherri Lewis, Kelli Grundy, Michelle (Eric) Heavrin, and his son Michael McShea. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
