Mr. Mills, 88, died at The Carmel Home. He was born in Daviess County, a son of the late L.K. and Helen Lingang Mills and was a graduate of St. Francis Academy. He attended Saint. Meinrad Seminary, and was a graduate of Purdue University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and the Purdue University School of Pharmacy.Mr. Mills was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the U.S.S. Tranquility in the Pacific Theater. He retired as co-owner of Mills Drug Store in 1983 and was a member of St. William Catholic Church.A country gentleman, he was a family man, hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. His wife, Margaret "Baby" Hazel Mills, preceded him in death in 1981.Mr. Mills is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Mills of Owensboro; his sons, Mike Mills and wife Elaine, of Owensboro, Greg Mills of Huntsville, Ala., and Joe Mills and wife Vicki, of Owensboro.
