Winninger studied at Indiana University, double majoring in radio-TV production and music. He still works with the Jacobs School of Music at IU, directing their live-stream webcasts of ballets, operas and concerts.

He is a charter member of the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra and was the principal cellist for close to 30 years. He has also been the principal cellist and manager of the Bloomington Pops. Additionally, he has been in the Cascades String Quartet and piano trio ensembles.

Rivera earned music degrees from Drake University and the Peabody Conservatory of Music. She has taught piano at the Peabody Preparatory Department, the University of Evansville, Westminster Choir College, the University of Richmond, Drake University, and in the pre-college program at Indiana University.

As a soloist, she has performed throughout the Midwest, Texas, New Jersey and Virginia. She has collaborated with singers and in ensembles, particularly in piano four-hands literature.

In recent years, she has hosted a series of solo and chamber music concerts in her Bloomington home, and maintains a small studio of adult piano students. She is a Benedictine oblate of Saint Meinrad Archabbey.

The one-hour program includes selections from composers such as Pergolesi, Haydn, Fauré and Brahms.
