Fr. Timothy Sweeney will begin a one-year
appointment as sacramental minister of St. Isidore Parish, Bristow,
IN, beginning July 3, 2013.
Fr. Guy Mansini returns to the monastery from
serving as pastor of St. Isidore Parish, Bristow, IN. He continues
as professor of systematic theology in the Seminary and School and
as abbey forester.
Fr. Barnabas Gillespie will be assigned as an
adjunct priest for St. Meinrad Parish and St. Boniface Parish,
Fulda, beginning August 13. He will be the regular sacramental
assistant for Fr. Anthony Vinson when he needs to be absent.
Br. John Mark Falkenhain presented at the May
regional meeting of the National Religious Vocation Conference on
interviewing for vocation director.
Fr. Anthony Vinson will become the director of
pastoral formation in the Seminary and School of Theology,
beginning in the fall semester. He will remain as pastor of St.
Meinrad Parish and St. Boniface Parish, Fulda.
Br. Jacob Grisley has been named an associate
director in the Office of Group Accommodations in the Seminary and
School of Theology. He continues his work for Abbey Press and in
Fr. Columba Kelly gave a workshop on chant at
The Ascending Voice III, an international symposium and choral
festival of sacred a cappella music, held May 9-11 in Malibu,
Fr. Mark O'Keefe will serve as pro prior while
Fr. Prior Kurt Stasiak is on sabbatical from July
Archabbot Justin DuVall gave a presentation on
Benedictine spirituality as part of a series of lectures at Corpus
Christi Parish at the University of Toledo on April 22.
Br. John Mark Falkenhain will be presenting the
monastic study days at the Benedictine Monastery of Pannonhalma,
Hungary, in August. His presentations will be on research on
perseverance in priesthood and monastic life with implications for
initial and ongoing formation.
