"Melody" Modern Notation Font (PC Version)

"Melody" offers a simple way of reproducing the melody line of songs, hymns, refrains and other simple music. Other programs allow for the production of complex scores. This set of fonts does not do this. However, these fonts are very easy to use.

With this font, you can type the music simply and quickly into a computer document. You choose the "Melody" font as you would chose any other font, such as Arial or Times Roman New. These fonts have been designed to reproduce well when scaled to 30 points. However, it is possible to print them at smaller or larger sizes, depending on your need.

The font requires MS Windows 3.1 or higher and a high-end word processing or desktop publishing program (such as Microsoft Word) that is capable of fractional-width display.
Cost: $50.00.

In the layout of the font, the top three rows are dedicated to notes or shapes.
Upper Case Lower Case
Number Row:   Sharps Flats
Q - P Row:   Whole Notes Half Notes
A-; Row:   Eighth Notes Quarter Notes

The keys in each row put a note or sign in a designated place on the staff. For example, the first key in each row (1,Q,A) put a note or sign on middle C.
Notes on the staff   C D E F G A B C D E
Keyboard Number Row   1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0
Keyboard Top Row   Q W E R T Y U I O P
Keyboard Middle Row   A S D F G H J K L ;
