Mission and Goals

“One Bread, One Cup” participates in and promotes the mission of Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology and the Roman Catholic Church by providing opportunities, rooted in the Benedictine tradition, for youth, young adults, and campus and youth ministers to nurture and deepen their Catholic faith. Programs of catechesis, spiritual formation, liturgical leadership development and vocational discernment are offered within a community of peers.

“One Bread, One Cup”:

  • Provides Catholic youth, young adults, and campus and youth ministers opportunities to grow in knowledge, experience Catholic theology and spirituality, and be introduced to Benedictine values;
  • Presents catechesis, spiritual formation and liturgical formation through presentation, practice and reflection on various aspects of the Roman Catholic Church;
  • Fosters an environment of Catholic culture and spirituality through reflection on Scripture, active participation in the Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours, celebration of the sacrament of Reconciliation and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament;
  • Inspires participants to embrace more fully the vocation and ministry to which they may be called within the Church by belonging to and growing within a Catholic community.
