Deacon Scott Haner

Scott Haner is a seasoned business professional in the next phase of life with a keen interest in social ministry, outreach and community empowerment. A permanent deacon serving the Catholic community at St. Patrick Parish in Louisville, KY, as well as several nonprofit ministries, Scott works to leverage his gifts and business experience to enhance organizational performance.

Scott's a proven team builder who clarifies issues, mobilizes cross-functional resources, and drives action in complex situations. He builds solid relationships and demonstrates excellent leadership, creative problem solving, and persuasiveness to get things done - all with a positive energy that is contagious.  Scott offers expertise in the following areas:

Scott developed these skills during a business career that spanning 30+ years. He held leadership roles in restaurant franchising and brand management working with premier brands such as KFC, Taco Bell, Betty Crocker, Nature Valley and Jobe's. Scott held positions of increasing responsibility for major national corporations, most notably Yum! Brands/KFC Corporation and General Mills, Inc. His passion for franchising has led him to a position on the Board of Directors of the International Franchise Association.

Scott lives with his wife JoAnn in Louisville and is the proud father of two grown daughters. He was educated at Purdue University, receiving an MBA with a marketing emphasis from the Krannert School of Management and a B.S. in Restaurant Management, both with highest distinction. He also holds a Certificate of Pastoral Ministry from Spalding University in Louisville.
