Fr. Edward Linton, OSB
Title: Director, Institute for Priests and Presbyterates
Fr. Edward Linton, OSB, is a monk and priest of Saint Meinrad
Archabbey. Fr. Edward serves as the director of Saint Meinrad's
Institute for Priests and Presbyterates.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Fr. Edward holds a bachelor's
degree in history from Saint Meinrad College, an MDiv from Saint
Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology, a master's in English
literature from Middlebury College, and a PhD in speech
communications from Southern Illinois University.
Fr. Edward professed his monastic vows in 1986 and was ordained in
1991. He taught English at Saint Meinrad College from 1992-98. He
served as an associate pastor at St. Benedict Cathedral in
Evansville, Indiana, and most recently as pastor of historic St.
James on Wabash in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
