Saint Meinrad School of Theology, through its Office of Youth and Young Adult Formation, offers programs for youth, young adults, and campus and youth ministers.
The Office of Youth and Young Adult Formation participates in and promotes the mission of Saint Meinrad School of Theology and the Roman Catholic Church by providing opportunities, rooted in the Benedictine tradition, for youth, young adults, and campus and youth ministers to nurture and deepen their Catholic faith. Programs of catechesis, spiritual formation, liturgical leadership development and vocational discernment are offered, within a community of peers.
Programs
“One Bread, One Cup”: Five-day summer conferences are held on campus to stimulate and deepen the Catholic faith of youth and adults alike. Participants learn to understand their faith and actively participate in the liturgical life of the Catholic Church through sessions in catechesis, liturgy and spiritual formation.
College Internship: College students from throughout North America participate in a six-week internship, experiencing the Benedictine balance of prayer, work and community. They gather for prayer and Eucharist daily, participate in academic and spiritual formation, and learn skills for Christian living and ministry. During “One Bread, One Cup” conferences, intern catechists lead theological reflection groups and facilitate discussion and learning among the youth participants.
LISTEN (Looking into the Soul: Tools for Everyday Needs): LISTEN is a parish or campus-based discernment program for young adults.
Raven Academy: Offered for college students during winter and summer breaks. Participants are introduced to a theological topic, spiritual formation and theological reflection while living within an intentional community of peers participating in the prayer, work and common life found at Saint Meinrad.
