Ruth Clifford Engs is a Benedictine Oblate of Saint Meinrad Archabbey and a professor emeritus at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.  Her most recent academic works focused on the history of health reform movements and reformers of the early part of the 20th century, many of whom came from religious backgrounds.
