What is a matching gift?

Many companies provide funds to match gifts that their employees and retirees make to certain non-profit institutions. This is a way to enhance the philanthropy of the company, while encouraging employees and retirees to support their favorite charities.

How can I get my gift matched?

Contact the human resources office of your company to see if it has a matching gift program. If so, request a matching gift form. Fill out the section for the employee and mail the form to Saint Meinrad. We'll do the rest.

You can also search for employer matching gift information online. You can search by company name and find specific program information, including the procedures necessary to process a matching gift. Many employers offer downloadable matching gift forms.
