Non-Degree and Audit Students
Non-Degree Students
Students who are not alumni and do not plan on pursuing a degree at Saint Meinrad, but would like to enroll in a course for credit must meet these criteria:
- possess a four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
- have graduated with 2.5 GPA or higher
- have completed the "Non-Degree Student Application Form"
- have official, sealed transcripts from undergraduate institution(s) sent to the Registrar (student-issued copies are not acceptable)
- provide three letters of recommendation (at least one professional or academic and one personal)
- have permission from the Director of Lay Degree Programs.
Non-degree applicants already enrolled in a graduate theological program at another institution need only fill out a simplified application form and have a letter sent from the registrar of their home institution confirming their student status.
Non-degree students may complete no more than 15 credit hours without enrolling in a degree program.
Auditing a Course
Any class may be audited with the permission of the instructor and the Academic Dean. An official record is made of such an audit. The fee is $225 per audit hour. Only persons registered for credit or audit may attend classes. Contact the Director of Lay Degree Programs to register as an audit student.
