Saint Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology

Formation and Education for the Life of the Church

Month In Pictures: January 2015

by Krista Hall

January is often associated with health and wellness. It's a new year and many people make resolutions to live a healthier life. I believe the pictures taken in January reflect how people on the Hill work to improve their mental, physical and spiritual health on a daily basis.

Seminarians took January Interterm classes, learning about chant, preparing healthy meals, and being taught how to perform CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. The Solemnity of St. Meinrad was January 21, giving the monastic community and guests visiting Saint Meinrad the opportunity for extra prayer and thankfulness.

January ended with the return of the seminarians, the start of classes, and Fr. Abbot Mark Cooper of St. Anselm Abbey in Manchester, NH, joined the seminarians for the opening Mass and dinner.
