Saint Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology

Formation and Education for the Life of the Church

Month In Pictures: April 2016

by Krista Hall

For me, the deacon ordination symbolizes the start of spring and the beginning of the end of the semester. It's the first of many events that lead up to graduation and time seems to speed up until the students finish their studies and leave in May.

The weather is also beginning to warm up and everything outside is starting to bud and turn green. It almost seems appropriate that there's a change in season as the seminarians are approaching this milestone in their ministry.

This year, Indianapolis Archbishop Joseph Tobin ordained three seminarians in the Archabbey Church: Joseph Lee and Joseph Park of the Diocese of Busan, South Korea, and Br. David N'Djam, OSB, of Monastère de lꞌIncarnation in Togo, West Africa.

The ordination is one of my favorite events to photograph because it is such a happy occasion. It's hard not to capture excitement, smiling faces, even some nervousness.

I pulled together a couple of my favorite pictures from this year's event. To view more, visit the ordination SmugMug gallery.
