Leaders from our ten partner parishes were asked, “Where did you see God at work in your life this month?”
Here are their testimonies:

“It was amazing to listen to the vocation stories of the Dominican Sisters and see our young adult women eager to learn about religious life and open their hearts to discerning a religious vocation.”

“We have a young adult in our community who has been really stepping up into leadership, which I am very excited to see. She is a helper for this current Alpha, and she has agreed to be a host (main facilitator) for our next Alpha. She is also going to be giving a talk at our last Alpha.”

“The Lord continues to show me that relational ministry is where I am meant to be. The encounters and journeying alongside our young adults reminds me of what and who is important.”

“I saw God at work as I was teaching seminarians yesterday about Stewardship.”

“I see Him in my wife, who puts up with and supports all the long hours and extra work I have to do and is so understanding about it all. She really is amazing. She makes God’s love so present to me, in our life, in our home, and in our relationships with others.”

“God continues to challenge me in ways I am incredibly grateful. I definitely have witnessed amazing change this Lent in my spiritual life, especially in terms of my prayer life.”

“God is visible in those that I work with. We have a small staff of 10, including the priests, maintenance man, janitor, religious education, and office staff. We work together so well, and each one has a true loyalty and devotion to our parish and its mission. The willingness to jump in and help each other allows me to have time as the Parish General Manager to be an integral part of our Young Adult group and its trajectory. Again, God gives us the community we need and the power of the Holy Spirit to recognize and work toward His will for us and those around us.”

“God has been working on my heart and my trust in Him. He has been answering some special intentions.”

“I have been discerning many things in my life both personally and professionally this Lent. I have felt God every step of the way. ‘My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. Therefore will I trust you always, though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.’ – Thomas Merton“
