This course covers two distinct portions of the New Testament - namely: the letters associated with Paul, and the texts associated with John - that is, the Gospel of John and the letters of John (1-2-3). The thematic emphases of these writings will be examined, so that students may better understand the Gospel of Christ as proclaimed by the earliest Christian communities.
