49:300 Human Development and Christian Maturity

This course explores the interface between human psychological development and Christian maturity. Specific dimensions of human development (i.e., cognitive, emotional, social, sexual) will be outlined and examined alongside models of moral, spiritual and faith development, with an emphasis on trying to arrive at a broad and integrated notion of Christian maturity. Information covered will assist candidates for priesthood and lay ministry in understanding their psychological, psychosocial and psychosexual development, as well as better understanding the development of those whom they will serve in the Church.
