Ministry Moments | April 2026 Updates from Our Partner Parishes

"We had a great participation from our young adults in the parish for all of our Lenten events. We had two book groups, weekly Stations of the Cross, and an ongoing weekly watch party for "The Chosen" series every Thursday, and all of those things were attended by a lot of young adults."

"I recently met with three young adults to bring them onto our leadership team. It was a great meeting, and I had a chance to get to know each of them better, as they were recommended by their peers and other young adult leaders. One of them is in OCIA, and has a great passion for ministry. That is one area where our group needed to get more connected, and it is beginning to take shape thanks to the Lord's providence!"

"As Holy Week began, both of our young adult groups came together in a spirit of unity to watch The Passion of the Christ. Approximately 25 young adults attended the gathering, bringing snacks and sharing in fellowship. The event provided a meaningful opportunity for participants to reflect on the Passion of the Lord and their own spiritual journey. It was a powerful way for the two groups to connect to each other as well."

"Within our total of 58 catechumen/candidates for Easter Vigil, 45 were young adults. What an exciting time for the Church – certainly for our parish! One bilingual young adult Catechumen asked about training to be a Eucharistic Minister the Monday after Easter! He is ON FIRE!"

"A group of young adults got together during Lent to discuss a book ("I Believe in Love") that we had all been reading. It was a really great mix of singles, single parents, married couples, married couples with kids, expecting parents to their first child, and someone who isn't Catholic. We gathered for pizza and then talked about different aspects of the book. Our conversation was so blessed. The young adult that is not Catholic has just signed up for OCIA! We were really blessed by her witness and her questions at our event. I thought that it was incredible that she came, that she felt welcomed to come, and that she is sharpening us as she is on her own faith journey, too. I felt like we could've kept talking late into the night if we didn't have any other responsibilities or obligations because our conversations were just so organic."
