Ministry Moments: June 2025 Updates From Our Partner Parishes

"The planning team invited some young adults out to the local coffee shop and gave them the opportunity to help out on the team. The young adults that were interested already had ideas that they were excited to share."

"Recently, we have had a shift in our T3 (think tank team), and it has brought about new perspectives and fresh ideas. This is always so encouraging even though it can sometimes be difficult to have some transition out of those roles."

"We had a bridal shower for one of our young adults, and it was great to see new friendships. We also have had four young adults interested in becoming Catholic this month alone!"

"Last week, I met a young adult who is also a nun, and it was one of the most incredible experiences I ever had. She was so grounded, down to earth, and relatable. It was a life changing experience for me and hopefully her, too!"

"In the past few months, we’ve had multiple young adult families choose to baptize their children during Mass. Their decision to share this special sacrament with the whole congregation has brought a beautiful sense of unity and joy to our worship. It reminds us all of the vibrant future of our faith and the importance of nurturing it together as a community."
"Isaac and Brookelyn enjoyed growing and learning about evangelization at the Saint Meinrad parish gathering. The young adults also went and served at Phil's Friends and prepared and packed care packages for cancer patients. We attended Be Fed, which is where we come together for a meal and learn something new from our pastors. Adam Ayers spoke at a diocese-wide Summer Series Event, shared his testimony to about 50 other young adults, and we spent time at a bonfire. A couple of young adults went to a cowboy-themed Spring Fling event to support our Catholic School. Some young adults went to a Christian concert and met Stephen Stanley who is a new and influential musician in the Christian space. We also continued socializing and growing together by going line dancing as a group!"

"At our recent Pentecost Festival, there were several young adults involved in set up and tear down, etc. There were many just enjoying the event. This is our version of a parish picnic where food from all the nationalities in our parish are served at food booths."

"The English-speaking young adults are leading a ministry they call” Shield & Shamrock.” The main married couple taking the lead has offered to volunteer to produce our bulletin as well as help our “sad” parish webpage. The group hosted a Rosary Walk and a special Coffee & Donuts. They were very excited that about 80 parishioners walked down the stairs into the church basement to join them after Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation with the treats they provided."
