"The young adults preparing for Confirmation wrote fabulous letters to our Bishop! The are on fire for their faith! We did a Bible study on Zoom when the weather was bad, and we had a new person join in!"

"One of our young adults volunteered at the diocesan conference last year, and they left such a positive impact that the leaders have reached out to us to see if she was available again this year. The people in charge of running it specifically said they wanted her there because of how great she was."

"As several members of our current leadership team prepare to move away, I’ve been reaching out to young adults in our community about stepping into leadership roles. Through these conversations, I had the opportunity to connect with several people and hear about their experiences and availability. While many were not able to commit right now, I was encouraged to see that many young adults genuinely want to help and be involved. The biggest challenge seems to be finding time that works for everyone amid busy schedules, work, and other responsibilities. Even so, these conversations reminded me that the desire to serve is present in our community. I’m hopeful that with patience and flexibility, we will continue to find ways for young adults to participate and lead."

"This month we held a Theology on Tap and hosted a priest to discuss Black Catholic saints in honor of Black History Month. The talk was very informative and enlightening, and the speaker did very well."

"It has been such a blessing to have our English-speaking young adult group up and running. There have been numerous occasions where young adults have come across my path and were excited about the invitation to a group that fits them. It is nice for me knowing that whether young adults speak English or Spanish, that there is a space for them to be welcomed as part of a community. It feels like an 'If you build it, they will come' moment for our parish!"

"We had a young woman decide to show up to the Ash Wednesday Mass out of nowhere. It had been on her heart for a long time, so she did a Google search, saw St. Clare, and just walked in. She decided to stay! Then, this happened to be the evening that I hung back after Mass to share our young adult Lenten book discussion info with folks as they walked by. Fr. Jim was talking with this young woman, and then he brought her over to me. We had a great conversation, and she immediately reached out about OCIA and went to our young adult Rosary on a Saturday morning. I keep reflecting on everything that led up to this moment of her stepping foot inside the church, and I’m truly in awe of what God is up to in her life."
