Program Outcomes

Students who successfully complete the 18-credit specialization certificate in Liturgical and Sacramental Theology will:

  1. Establish broad foundation of knowledge concerning the sacramental and liturgical traditions of the Catholic Church;

  2. Demonstrate depth of knowledge in one or more focused areas of sacramental or liturgical theology through the completion of elective coursework.

Requirements

  • Introduction to Liturgy & Sacraments (3 credits)

  • 15 additional credits selected from the Sacramental Theology category (courses starting 12:xxx). Elective courses might include Sacraments of Initiation, Sacraments of Vocation, Sacraments of Healing, Eucharist, Liturgical Year, Sacrament of Marriage, Directed Research Project, or other courses approved by the Director of Graduate Theology Programs.
