Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology is seeking a part-time, hourly Administrative Assistant to the Director of Admissions and Assessment, Director of Diocesan Relations. The schedule is normally 24 hours per week, preferably Monday, Wednesday and Friday. However, some flexibility in the schedule may be possible. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

For Director of Admissions and Director of Diocesan Relations:

Makes arrangements for visits of Bishops, Vocation Directors and prospective students, and attends to the calendar of these visits.

Sends out applications, submits background check information, and follows application process through to completion for both Seminary and School of Theology admissions committees.

Produces and sends personalized recruitment materials to Seminary and Graduate Theology prospective students.

Maintains good communication with other departments, including, but not limited to, Graduate Theology staff and administration, Alumni Office, Registrar, President-Rector's office, Guest Services.

Maintains computerized tracking system on Blackbaud.

Assists with Thinking of Priesthood weekends and diocesan relations-related travel.

Prepares status reports on pool of seminary prospects. Works with annual budget.


For Director of Assessment:

Provides support in developing assessment materials and reports.

Gathers and compiles data related to assessment and accreditation tools such as surveys and interviews.

Experience & Qualifications

Associate's degree or business certificate program. (Work experience will also qualify.)

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Deal professionally with diverse publics, including students, faculty, bishops, vocation directors and prospective students.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Good telephone and interpersonal skills.

Highly developed computer skills with knowledge of a variety of programs.

Willingness to train and work at acquiring new computer skills.

Have an eye for detail.
